Here, the Unrated shows two female Asians who want to have some weed from the shy guy who is dancing without a shirt on and waving around a bag of weed. On the getaway from the two female students on the toilet Harold & Kumar come across the Asia-party and wonder why the shy guy from a little while ago who always piped up when Harold wanted to ask a question is totally high. Give it a shot, you’ll be pleasantly surprised when you’re not rolling around laughing.The trademarks at the beginning are longer on the Unrated DVD. They’re likable, they’re funny and the film even has a few things to say about race in some key scenes. Look past the marijuana smoke and what does Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle have to offer? a true story of friendship with real characters who have a simple, but relatable desire. From there, it’s an hour and a half packed with a slew of funny moments in which Harold & Kumar act relatively normal compared to every lunatic they see. He comes in right at the beginning, convinces Harold with some great lines. My favourite is not, as you might expect the show-stealing Neil Patrick Harris (playing himself) it’s Anthony Anderson (whom I thought was funny in Transformers as well) as a lowly drive-thru attendant. It’s filled with all sorts of outrageous characters, many of which are memorable and totally unexpected. Let’s not give the impression that Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle isn’t a dumb (but hilarious) comedy. The point is that they’re doing it together and because they’re good friends, you’re rooting for them to overcome each of the insane obstacles along the way.

It could have been a trip to their families for Thanksgiving or a buried chest full of gold. These guys are seeking White Castle burgers but it could have been anything. This comedy is about knowing the good times are going to outweigh the bad and that as long as best friends stick together, everything is going to be alright, no matter what the world tells you. Harold and Kumar have been through adventures before, and they’ll be through more after this one… it just happens that tonight is the craziest night of their lives. The script would then try to manipulate the audience into feeling sad and have us wondering if these two guys will get back together. A typical comedy would have the irresponsible friend do something so terrible the duo would split up two thirds into the film. Their relationship is symbiotic and deep down, they’re not that different. Harold’s got the car and skills necessary to keep everything afloat no matter what. Party guy Kumar is able to score the best dope, sniff out the best parties and find the hot chicks. In that way, they’re opposites that stand to better each other. If he wanted to, he could be a doctor (like his father wants him to be) but lack motivation. Meanwhile, Kumar has a lot of untapped potential and his friend knows it. Stick-in-the-mud Harold has a big assignment due tomorrow and Kumar’s constant attempts to get him to let go a little get on his nerves. It’s not that they’re without their disagreements Harold & Kumar get on each others’ nerves plenty. I want to hammer down that sure, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle is about two guys who get a mad case of the munchies, but more importantly, it’s about two buddies who stick together, no matter what. On the way, they run into all sorts of insane characters that hinder what should be an easy quest. After an evening of smoking up, they get a mad craving for White Castle hamburgers and decide nothing else will satisfy them, so off they go. It’s about two guys: straightlaced, hard-working Harold (John Cho) and his hard-partying, irresponsible friend and roommate Kumar (Kal Penn).

It’s also a road movie and, above all, a tale of true friendship. Well, you’re not entirely wrong, but if you’re dismissing this comedy because you don’t think it’s going to be your brand of humor, hold on. You believe Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle is just a dumb stoner comedy a bunch of jokes about two guys getting high and the wacky hijinks that follow.
